Interdepartmental Research Unit of Peptide and Protein
Chemistry and Biology
PeptLab is a multidisciplinary interdepartmental research unit with a strong know-how in the field of peptide and protein chemistry and biology, in their synthesis and molecular characterization, both at the biological and structural level. The members of PeptLab belong either to the Department of Chemistry "Ugo Schiff" or to the Department NEUROFARBA (Department of Neurosciences, Psychology, Drug Research and Child Health) of the University of Florence, both located in the scientific campus in Sesto Fiorentino (Florence).
Peptlab has a strong international orientation, and it aims at integrating competences and giving access to facilities to support peptide-based research projects and training for life and material sciences both at the academic and industrial level. Therefore, PeptLab is open to the contribution and participation of all researchers, from universities and from public and private companies, interested in the field of peptide and protein sciences, as demonstrated by the many national and international collaborations and the exchanges of students via international programs, such as Erasmus+.
